Free Fertile
Egg Policy & Procedures
|
|
Hy-line Hatchery in Elizabethtown, PA has
agreed to supply eggs to all 4-H Embryology Programs free in Pennsylvania.
However, in exchange for their generous donation, they ask that we keep
their time and cost commitment for distribution to a minimum. The following
is the agreement we have developed with Hy-line. This offer is for PA
4-H Embryology Program Participants only. The County Extension professional
must coordinate local needs and submit order.
Background of this policy
Hy-line
is a large producer of fertile eggs for the commercial egg industry
and vaccine production industry. They usually handle case and truckload
quantities. They do not typically distribute eggs in small quantities.
However, Hy-line is willing to supply quality fertile eggs for the Pennsylvania
4-H Embryology in the Classroom project as long as we are willing to
work with them to minimize Hy-line's cost.
Please make every effort to combine orders in your county
and region if possible.
